Jigsaw puzzle at lunchtime. Officially a crossword defector. It felt so good.

Texts about books.

Dinner with my oldest girls. Vietnamese, not too drunk and not the one that talked the most!

Going into Foyles. Properly going in and buying a book and smelling that great smell of all those pages and feeling that calm that is in book shops.

Sitting in the garden, reading as the light faded and the birds sang. The air smelt beautiful.

Scottish drag queen names.

Playing ALMA – Dye My Hair on repeat.

Boxercise with Becky. It’s more fun when you have someone to giggle with.

A chat with Matt about books and podcasts.

ADDITION: a sleepover with Hannah, talking into the night like 10 year olds.

A left over pain au chocolat for second breakfast. And a longed for cup of tea.

A quiet browse of a book shop. I forgot how peaceful it is to be in a book shop.

Pottery night. Tonight, pubic hair.

Loud singing, home alone.

Reading in the sun

Jonny freaking out about boarding passes. But pretending to be cool. But seriously. Do it now.

Putting up a few new bits of decoration. Bit of a wood, wicker and trees situation going on.

A lie in.
A lot of reading.
A tight cuddle at the end of the day.

Lying in the sun
Reading a whole book
Hash browns and avocado

Innocent French childhoods, ruined.
Paneer korma. Everything I’ve ever wanted.
Just hanging out with Jonny, moaning about shit.

Spending some time in a bookshop, looking at books.
Being proud of the family I’m from. So proud.
Walking home, a bit drunk, with Beyonce playing on repeat, singing into my scarf.

Seeing the dolphins swim right up to us at Monkey Mia. The newborn was the best. So playful and energetic.
Spending the whole day relaxing in the sun and reading.
Seeing a turtle poke his head up a few metres from us in the sea.

My rucksack for traveling arrived!

My old boss told me that my leaving present would be vouchers for buying books on my Kindle. Perfect as I didn’t realise how expensive they were

The sky this evening. I didn’t take a photo but trust me, it looked amazing, beautiful clouds and such a perfect colour.

Today was my birthday. And it was filled with lots and lots of things that made me smile. And as it’s my birthday I’m going to ignore the three things rule. Here are more than three things that made me smile today.

My signed Michael Palin books, with my name in and everything.

The windy walk up the hill with my parents.

The lamas feeding in the field.

The rainbow above the houses when we got home.

Getting a Skype kiss.

A delicious dinner with my family.

Drinks and laughter at the pub. Including one of my favourite friends who I don’t see enough.

All in all, a bloody good day!

Spending some quality time with mum.

Just sitting and reading my book for a few hours.

A quick Skype chat with my boyfriend.

Going to Brighton for the day. My most favourite place ever.

Having a big Sunday lunch with my family.

Coming home with lots of books for the pop up and vintage fabric for….well I’m not sure yet. It for something.
