Swimming in the river, by the cows.

And shooing them off with mum when they came charging at us as we got in the water.

The beautiful beautiful Thames by Oxford. So peaceful and idyllic.

Shelling peas, under the trees.

Swimming in the Thames.

Being on the boat with mum and dad, having some nice conversations and watching the quiet watery world go by.

The man on the bus who told me we were in Finsbury Park because he’d overheard me asking when I got on. So sweet I wanted to cry.

Ruby’s pleasure talk. Meeting a woman who had seen me at WOW, in both capacities. And a woman who had drawn me naked. And realising I don’t need to be like Ruby, I can be by myself.

Walking along the canal in the sun after work. Sitting on a bench, watching a cat watch me from inside a canal boat.

Discovering new storage areas in the basement. And the creepy Scottish puppets dolls down there…

The long awaited canals meeting is over! A big smile of relief to tick that one off.

Delicious bread with olives in. I love olive bread.

A massage with Joy

Listening to my podcast.

The squirrel that was right beside me as I walked through the estate.

Having mum and dad in London, walking along the canal in the sun and lunch on a canal boat cafe.

The Paper Man. Such an amazing play that I just wasn’t expecting.

And dad telling me they’d watched 100 Vaginas

A day on the boat with my parents. So so lovely to be cruising along on the countryside.

Stuart chatting more to them both. It was so much better this time.

Feeling mega close to Stuart, for a second day in a row.

Waking up and stepping out the boat into a sunny duck filled marina. That’s a pretty lovely start to the morning.

Fluke, the beautiful canal dog.

Talking about Japan flights. And deciding to splash out on direct flights with BA. We grown ass women. We want to spend our money on nice things.

Coming up to the boat to see my parents. Watching the Vicar of Dibley. Sitting by the fire.

This vulva. It makes me smile. It looks a bit like a potato but in the loveliest way. It was this image I chose to share my story.

The bright green fields on the train up to see my family.

All my family, on the boat.

The most perfect day on the canal on their new boat.

All the wildlife. The kingfisher, the dragonflies, the greedy swans.

Dipping my toes in the water, sitting in the sun at the front of the boat.

The cows, and adorable calf, next to the boat this morning.
Sunbathing on the hot (canal boat) roof.
Feeding the duck. From the canal boat.

The canal boat holiday has now ended. Normal service shall resume tomorrow.

The 180 turn in the middle of the river. In a canal boat.
The rain stopping and sitting peacefully at the front of the boat, floating past beautiful flowers and tiny houses. On the canal boat.
Sitting on the roof. Of the canal boat.

Cruising on the canal boat.
Surprising Hannah. With the canal boat.
Singing along to Bad Blood. On the canal boat.

Walking past a canal boat with full sized Rosie and Jim dolls on. And they waved at us! We waved back.

My boyfriend managed to change our train seats so we won’t be sat at a table. You have no idea how happy this makes me.

A day spent deciding all the things we need to buy for our big trip. We rarely buy anything so this is so exciting. Especially for me. I actually love buying stuff. I’ve just managed to keep it under control for the last few years. Tomorrow will be even more exciting. We’re going SHOPPING!

mandarin duck

Smelling wood smoke from one of the boats on the canal

Seeing my favourite type of duck, the Mandarin Duck, out on the canal. And fighting his corner for some bread.

Chocolate biscuits. Probably one too many. But they’re so good.
