This part of the canal always seems so sunny and beautiful.

My Vulva Gallery book arrived. It’s wonderful.

Dinner with Jonny and Dom, talking about drinking wee and living in caves.

The man on the bus who told me we were in Finsbury Park because he’d overheard me asking when I got on. So sweet I wanted to cry.

Ruby’s pleasure talk. Meeting a woman who had seen me at WOW, in both capacities. And a woman who had drawn me naked. And realising I don’t need to be like Ruby, I can be by myself.

Walking along the canal in the sun after work. Sitting on a bench, watching a cat watch me from inside a canal boat.

Discovering new storage areas in the basement. And the creepy Scottish puppets dolls down there…

A walk along the canal. For work. Obvs.

Tried a new porridge ‘recipe’. Hello turmeric breakfast.

Realising that I was further up the stairs that I thought I was.

Coming home earlier to beautiful light on the wall and some yoga

Getting off the bus early and walking along the canal.

The beautiful autumn leaves everywhere.

Leaving work early and going to bed early. Finally. What a long week.

Walking along the canal, for work, and seeing the moorhen balancing on the ropes before launching into the water.

The rainbow at work, when one side of the building was sunny and the other side had heavy rain.

Muji brown post-it notes. Ohmygawd.

Waking up and stepping out the boat into a sunny duck filled marina. That’s a pretty lovely start to the morning.

Fluke, the beautiful canal dog.

Talking about Japan flights. And deciding to splash out on direct flights with BA. We grown ass women. We want to spend our money on nice things.

Canoeing up the canal towards the Lee Valley. The sun was out, it was really warm and it was all so bloody beautiful! I had such a lovely time!

Spending time with Will.

Talking about Noel’s House Party.

The most perfect day on the canal on their new boat.

All the wildlife. The kingfisher, the dragonflies, the greedy swans.

Dipping my toes in the water, sitting in the sun at the front of the boat.

Pizza and beer at Crate to welcome home Bivan.

The sky as we came home.

Doing a pretty good job at my training in Leytonstone. I’m proud of myself.

I was early for my meeting so I went for a wander along the river. Next to a swan.

Seeing the weather forecast for the next few days. Hello continuous sunshine. You can stay.

Walking along the canal eating a fish finger sandwich, chatting to my boyfriend and spotting a mandarin duck (my favourite)

Meeting new people. And enjoying it. Maybe I will be alright when we’re travelling then.

A few drinks with close friends at a nice pub where we chatted about all the amazing things we’ll be doing when we’re away.

My denim jacket. I haven’t worn it for ages but I remembered how much I love it.

The adorable tiny ducklings and the mandarin duck on the canal. And the coot that ran across the water for ages.

Walking past a canal boat with full sized Rosie and Jim dolls on. And they waved at us! We waved back.

My boyfriend managed to change our train seats so we won’t be sat at a table. You have no idea how happy this makes me.

A day spent deciding all the things we need to buy for our big trip. We rarely buy anything so this is so exciting. Especially for me. I actually love buying stuff. I’ve just managed to keep it under control for the last few years. Tomorrow will be even more exciting. We’re going SHOPPING!

The reeds along the canal.

The poached pear and custard desert at lunch time. It is the best desert I’ve ever had. And I very almost didn’t have it. Note to self: always have a desert in case you miss out on the best thing ever.

Painting dinosaurs on each others faces and then making them kiss.

mandarin duck

Smelling wood smoke from one of the boats on the canal

Seeing my favourite type of duck, the Mandarin Duck, out on the canal. And fighting his corner for some bread.
