Beautiful coastal walk, especially the Inland bit with the mossy trees and little streams.

First cream tea of the trip!

Dinner with Sophie and Meg. Yummy Japanese food in a nice pub. And Meg is so great!

The beautiful blue sea.

The coastal walk.

Getting to know (and joke with) Andrea, Graham and Doreen. And feeling like an adult with them.

A walk along the beach, with the sand between my toes.

And then into the forest with the dappled sunlight.

Followed by sunbathing and yoga in the garden

The beautiful flowers at the wake

Clearing all the stones off the path with Alec

Sunny Corner. The beautiful sea views and long evening shadows

A walk along the coast. Beautiful flowers, calm quiet air and the sea just there.

Walking down to town on my own, listening to music.

The head scab came off

A bath shower in the beautiful bathroom with the huge tub and the mirror wall.

A misty walk along the coast.

Church Cove. Sitting in the sheltered bit, watching the sea and the family playing. So peaceful.

Plus the incredible cream tea with the world’s best scone and the nicest possible owners in their adorable front room cafe.

And a little text from James, finally.

Being surprised by the beautiful beach near Blackpool. It actually reminded me of being in Australia. And missing it.

Wandering along it, litter picking in the sun.

Walking from the beach to the pub with Gust and Rose.

A walk along the cliffs to Beachy Head.

Mexican with Jonny. Waaaaay too much food. But it totally got me in the mood for Barcelona.

Watching RuPaul together in bed. We haven’t watched an episode at the same time for ages.

A walk that took in the coast, a cliff and some of the South Downs Way. Ending in a cafe with a cream tea.

Lounging in the sun with Sophie.

Spotting wild rabbits, a fox and heaps of pigs.

It was my birthday! We went for a beautiful walk along the beach with a clear blue sky and a calm sea.

Sitting outside at the pub in the sunshine, with the sea just meters away.

Dinner with everyone. Amazing salmon. ALL the cheeses. Followed by the parcel game. So much love and laughter.

Bunters. Big night out in Truro.

Lemon caaaaake!

Climbing up the windiest cliff and looking out into the sea.

A beautiful warm walk along the coast

Going for a morning walk around the coast and discovering more and more beautiful, empty coves and bays with clear water and soft sand.
Family time on the beach, teasing Hannah.
Zapping my brothers bites. And also his arm, foot and tummy. Just for fun.

Body boarding down sand dunes. So. Much. Fun.
Seeing the most northerly point in New Zealand in beautiful weather, driving past really Australian looking scenery.
Wandering around the lovely campsite in the evening sun, spending some alone time together.

Sitting in the peace and quiet by the river and remembering what it’s like to be somewhere with no wind. So calm and still and so silent.
So many beautiful views of the sea as we drove further round the coast.
The cute 70’s kitchen in the youth hostel. Such thick paint, such shallow drawers.

Hot cross bun for breakfast.
Driving through bits of the city we haven’t seen before, around the coast and walking out to the lighthouse. Well, almost. It’s quite far.
Seeing the little, personal cable cars that people have for their houses that are up really steep slopes.
