Volunteering at Bloody Funny and remembering why I do the Period Parties, despite the stress.

Being in the top of the Union Chapel. And the sun coming in through the church windows.

Funny funny comedians. Josie Long, Bridget Christie, Rosie Jones as the highlights. A period/skidmark story. A period sex story. A vulva stitch/hair brushing story.

A bit in the book I’m reading made me smile (I want to say ‘out loud’ for some reason) on the tube

Discovering the brilliantly funny Hadley Freeman and Sara Pascoe at the Book Slam in Clapham

I realised that my journey home and my boyfriends journey home would mean our arrivals into the tube station would be pretty close. As I got off one tube I craned my neck searching for him, gathering some odd looks. He wasn’t there. As I got on the next, a second tube load of people arrived and rushed across the platform. Again I craned my head, searching. Again, looking a bit weird. Again, I couldn’t see him. As we pulled away I realised that there he was, less than a meter in front of me, with a large man inbetween us. I tried to catch his eye by smiling madly and waggling my head (yes, still getting strange looks) but it wasn’t until we got off that I managed to get to him. A lovely walk home together followed. With no funny looks.
