Finishing my book with a lovely coffee

A very successful Labia Lessons in Cornwall.

Poke bowl.

John, the lovely dad who picked me up from the train station.

The little stream next to the uni.

Sitting on the quay and watching a seagull feed its young a crab.

Lying in the warm conservatory.

A bonding moment over all of us doing PCR tests in the car by Waitrose.

The lovely lunch at the Heron, walking past pretty houses.

Beautiful coastal walk, especially the Inland bit with the mossy trees and little streams.

First cream tea of the trip!

Dinner with Sophie and Meg. Yummy Japanese food in a nice pub. And Meg is so great!

Went for a swim in the sea. Han took a photo just as a cold wave hit my vulva.

Excitement at spotting (or thinking we spotted) dolphins.

Hanging out with Sophie. She’s a good egg.

Cornwall!

Pretty views of the sea on the train.

Going to visit Daph’s allotment

A walk along the beach, with the sand between my toes.

And then into the forest with the dappled sunlight.

Followed by sunbathing and yoga in the garden

The beautiful flowers at the wake

Clearing all the stones off the path with Alec

Sunny Corner. The beautiful sea views and long evening shadows

A walk along the coast. Beautiful flowers, calm quiet air and the sea just there.

Walking down to town on my own, listening to music.

The head scab came off

A bath shower in the beautiful bathroom with the huge tub and the mirror wall.

A misty walk along the coast.

Church Cove. Sitting in the sheltered bit, watching the sea and the family playing. So peaceful.

Plus the incredible cream tea with the world’s best scone and the nicest possible owners in their adorable front room cafe.

And a little text from James, finally.

Being by the sea, in a cute cabin. With a secret garden. And it’s own yoga platform.

The pub quiz. Best pub quiz I’ve ever done. Oily Muirs.

Seeing a shooting star as we walked home from the pub.

I felt so happy this evening. Really calm and peaceful, by the sea, walking in the dark.

The winning cream tea – it all came down to the scone. And the fourth cream tea in four days. Winning.
An accidental ferry ride.

The long lazy breakfast with the sun shining and all the blueberries
Beautiful beach walk with seals and so much sand
Hot Cross Bun bread and butter pudding. The absolute best dessert.

The two wonderful volunteers who turned up, out the blue, for a short time and just got stuck in ripping up the floor and painting for the first thing.
The very last bit of the train journey
Turning up at Hannah’s parents house and finding a chocolate bunny by the bed and a hot water bottle in it. So cute.

Listening to Ben Howard, wearing my purple rain coat I bought in Cornwall and walking along in the slight rain reminded me so strongly of everything about our holiday in Cornwall last summer. Our first real holiday together, my favourite place and the moment we decided to go travelling together for a long time. Who knew walking in the rain would bring back such happy memories

I tried on all my clothes I’m taking travelling when I was supposed to be working. Exciting and much more fun

My boyfriend had a meat free lunch today because its National Vegetarian Week. I’m sure he’s doing it for all his own reasons but I feel a little bit touched, like he’s doing it because he knows it will make me happy. Either way, it’s great.
