Two of my sunflower seeds are sprouting! I’m so happy!

The free plant giveaway by the cute community group. Got me a chilli plant and some salad leaves.

The delicious food at Holly and Al’s BBQ. Of course.

Going and buying a box full of plants and seeds for the garden. Green just makes me so happy.

Getting my fingers in the dirt, on my own, planting them in.

Clean white sheets. I forget how much I love them.

Driving the biggest van for the smallest amount of stuff. With Jonny, obvs.

The robin came back into the garden. It’s so brave. And she ate the worms Lauren gave her.

Multi-housemate gardening.

Realising I had a whole heap of reasons to be happy today. Feeling really calm and happy. No housemates, no real day plans, being organised and peaceful. Getting my fingers in the dirt again.

Going to visit Holly and Al’s new flat. It’s beautiful. And Al telling funny, long stories about making the perfect coffee.

Alec and Ciaran at Doug’s party. Those two make me laugh heaps. HEAPS.

Having a day to do whatever I want.

And doing gardening.

Korean evening. Amazing buns and a sexy film.

Making the house look pretty with flatmates. Organised the DVDs, did more gardening (well, hacking) and discovered an insane amount of old remotes.
Sitting in the sun, in our new chair, drinking coke from a glass bottle. It’s just like being on holiday.
A perfectly lined-up stripy top and a new way of hemming necklines.

Accidentally dribbling apple spit down myself
Hacking away a big area of bush in the garden. And then burning the wood.
The heat, the sun, the summer air blowing through the house.

My neighbour’s very impressive topiary skills
Flights to Portugal booked. Narrowly avoiding a total cock up.
First channa masala. Easy and delicious.

Breakfast in the garden. Toast, fresh coffee, a magazine and sunshine.
Cutting the grass with the strimmer.
Lee Miller: A Women’s War at the Imperial War Museum. The cycle powered hairdressers made me smile. And the production of Vogue in the 1940’s.  And just what a badass she was.

Seeing a man yawn MASSIVELY out the train window. A really big goggly eyed, dislocated jaw yawn when you forget people can see you.

A wild flower growing in our little balcony garden

Realising that its a month tomorrow until we leave on our big trip. Yikes!

A feminist meeting after work. My first ever feminist meeting and my first ever meeting with strangers about something I care about.

Working with my toes warming in the sun

Pulling up the last of our carrots. And finding them all hilariously bent, twisted and stubby (but still delicious).

Going for a massage with my boyfriend.

Going out to G-A-Y for the very first time and dancing to endless Sean Paul, Beyonce and some Nicki Minaj with no hassle from men. Perfect.
