Being part of the dementia strategy meeting.

Food bank was really fun tonight. Nice people, great cakes and I know what I’m doing. It just felt fun and easy.

I got Elliott and she loves dad’s chew toy he made for her.

Delicious chocolate cake and flapjacks.

Rosie has a boyfriend and I’m really happy for her.

Flirting on OkCupid. And then cancelling the date because I knew it wasn’t the right scenario for me. #learning

Watching the flower competition with Jonny. I forgot how nice it was to make some comments with someone.

The sun’s reflection shining onto me as I meditated in the morning.

Learning about natural dying at a Zoom event. It feels so nice and gentle and lovely.

Taking myself out for a walk without my phone after a migraine nap. The air smelt nice and fresh.

Learning how to make a block pattern to my measurements.

Spending the afternoon (and evening) doing the illustrations for the booklet.

Got a letter asking me to book my colposcopy. Which is great. Because I thought it might be postponed due to covid.

Sewing Ben’s present and it looking pretty good.

I made my dungarees fit.

I had a really funny evening celebrating my birthday at Bonningtons with the London Eggs.

Dinner. Eating all the right things. Come on guts, let’s do this.

Lots of OKC messages. Must be doing something a lot better this time.

Finishing the course and being a trained Mental Health First Aider. That feels good.

My last sachet of Japanese roasted green tea.

Learning new things at work and being excited about new projects.

Model Behaviour. Funny play in a cool theatre.

Wearing eye makeup and feeling pretty.

Went to a machine embroidery class. It was fun! I like doing things.

And it was nice to chat on the phone whilst waiting for my bus after too.

Kicking through the bright yellow leaves on the pavement.

The whole wood working day. The bright blue sky, being outside, the fire, making a bowl, the feminist chat at lunchtime, the end result. It was brilliant.

ay one of the Influencing Change course. It was so exciting to feel excited about it all again. And to distill my ideas down into something more focused.

Talking to Joy about the project. And all the other people that came up to me to talk about vaginas. It was a subject that so many people wanted to talk about. It was a real boost. 

Beers with Jonny, making me see the good in the day again. 


Ovary embroidery workshop! Nice to spend a day with a needle in my hand.

Fresh hot roti at lunch.

Pizza and beer with Jonny. The perfect thing to get me off to sleep early ready for my 4am start tomorrow. 


Picked and ate my first home grown tomatoes. 🍅

A ridiculously drunk first date that we accidentally shared with an old American couple. I barely spoke to the date but what a fun evening! 

Only went and booked a pottery course. Again. 
Stewed apple. Didn’t go quite to plan but delicious anyway. 

Bashed out the to do list after work.

Doing all the things to make me feel better today. Namely:
The cheap and delicious chocolate custard cake.
Sacking off work and just getting lots of life admin shit done – new passport ordered, food bags picked up, books donated, people responded to, face mask…urm…masked.
Then some creative shit. Sketching from the nude photographs I had done and watching a funny video about whittling. Then a smidge of learning some French.
