It’s my 30th birthday!
A cake with me and mum in vulva tshirts on, a commissioned vulva painting, a silver ring making kit, a machine embroidery workshop, the flask from Waitrose, a donkey sanctuary, creepy caves, a cream tea, Alec coming down, kareoke, games, big sparklers, a midnight walk to the drawbridge, two generous donations to Bloody Good Period in honour of me,w a drunken chat with Stuart and just all the fun birthday love and joy that I wanted!
Presents, cooking together, all the food, Jane and Tony coming over, all the cheers-ing, chatting to Stuart on the phone, my new DMs, Stick Man, skyping with the Fems, sitting in front of the fire, playing with Alexa, a feminist book from my brother, Alec’s weird melting video, playing the piano, Soph getting the body mop, Snapchat and naming a gravy boat after Stuart.
What a day. It was my birthday and my first hot one ever. The whole day was amazing. From blueberry pancakes for breakfast to brilliant presents to the bushtucker wineries tour. I ate crocodile, kangaroo, bush tomatoes and handfuls of free chocolate. We drunk wines, ports and liqueurs and I had my first ever sparkling red wine.
We went for a swim at the beach, took family sea selfies and ate delicious salmon for dinner.
It was the best birthday I’ve ever had and I’m so lucky to have shared it with my wonderful family.
Today was my birthday. And it was filled with lots and lots of things that made me smile. And as it’s my birthday I’m going to ignore the three things rule. Here are more than three things that made me smile today.
My signed Michael Palin books, with my name in and everything.
The windy walk up the hill with my parents.
The lamas feeding in the field.
The rainbow above the houses when we got home.
Getting a Skype kiss.
A delicious dinner with my family.
Drinks and laughter at the pub. Including one of my favourite friends who I don’t see enough.
All in all, a bloody good day!
