A delicious coffee ice cream drink

Our beach house!

Sunbathing on the beach without a top on.

Beautiful coastal walk, especially the Inland bit with the mossy trees and little streams.

First cream tea of the trip!

Dinner with Sophie and Meg. Yummy Japanese food in a nice pub. And Meg is so great!

Cornwall!

Pretty views of the sea on the train.

Going to visit Daph’s allotment

The beautiful blue sea.

The coastal walk.

Getting to know (and joke with) Andrea, Graham and Doreen. And feeling like an adult with them.

Being in Brighton and Hove for the day, walking in the sun, playing with the stones on the beach and feeling my family roots.

Chatting to Lydia about vulvas, imposture syndrome and feeling like you’re in competition. I feel reinvigorated again!

Coming home and sewing and eating gyoza.

Brunch in a cute cafe with delicious coffee.

Dipping our fingers in the sea.

The special seaside doughnuts in the paper bag with all the sugar.

Stepping into the hot shower.

Leaping onto the train as the doors began to shut. Can’t believe I made it.

Getting my vulva cast in a lovely sunny studio.

Being in Brighton, walking along by the sea and remembering places I went with nan when I was a kid.

A walk along the beach, with the sand between my toes.

And then into the forest with the dappled sunlight.

Followed by sunbathing and yoga in the garden

The beautiful flowers at the wake

Clearing all the stones off the path with Alec

Sunny Corner. The beautiful sea views and long evening shadows

A walk along the coast. Beautiful flowers, calm quiet air and the sea just there.

Walking down to town on my own, listening to music.

The head scab came off

A bath shower in the beautiful bathroom with the huge tub and the mirror wall.

A misty walk along the coast.

Church Cove. Sitting in the sheltered bit, watching the sea and the family playing. So peaceful.

Plus the incredible cream tea with the world’s best scone and the nicest possible owners in their adorable front room cafe.

And a little text from James, finally.

Being by the sea, in a cute cabin. With a secret garden. And it’s own yoga platform.

The pub quiz. Best pub quiz I’ve ever done. Oily Muirs.

Seeing a shooting star as we walked home from the pub.

I felt so happy this evening. Really calm and peaceful, by the sea, walking in the dark.

Throwing stones at other stones on the beach.

The photos from the pier.

Recreating Sam and Ming’s photos.

The funicular railway.

Willy Wonka making an appearance in the 1066 castle video.

Telling the poo smear story in the pub.

A walk along the cliffs to Beachy Head.

Mexican with Jonny. Waaaaay too much food. But it totally got me in the mood for Barcelona.

Watching RuPaul together in bed. We haven’t watched an episode at the same time for ages.

A walk that took in the coast, a cliff and some of the South Downs Way. Ending in a cafe with a cream tea.

Lounging in the sun with Sophie.

Spotting wild rabbits, a fox and heaps of pigs.

SLOVENIA!

Driving the car through the countryside.

Beautiful Piran. Walking through the cobbled streets and along the waterfront at dusk. The pretty square. The apartment 15 seconds from said pretty square. The super calm water, making me feel so happy and peaceful.

It was my birthday! We went for a beautiful walk along the beach with a clear blue sky and a calm sea.

Sitting outside at the pub in the sunshine, with the sea just meters away.

Dinner with everyone. Amazing salmon. ALL the cheeses. Followed by the parcel game. So much love and laughter.

A beautiful warm walk along the coast

Giggling over big bras with mum. Especially this big bra/little bra combo.
A seaside walk with some old friends. And my complete inability to organise it.

Driving in the sun alongside the sea.
All the massive fruit and vegetables at the market this week.

A beautiful Wellington day
Driving the van around the bay.
The driver who laughed with me when I didn’t know where I was going or what I was doing. No road rage in Eastbourne.

Sun and no wind.
Going over to Eastbourne for fish and chips and an ice cream on the beach.
Learning a bit about Japanese culture.

Getting the bus round to Lyall Bay to enjoy the winter sunshine and watch the surfers with a cup of hot chocolate.
The Lego Movie. Surprisingly good. And funny.
Homemade pizza. And I didn’t make too much and feel sick like I normally do.

Sitting in the sun down at the seafront and just hanging out together.
Going on the bush walk in Te Papa, hugging some super old rocks and knowing that mum and dad did this when they were here.
Getting a text from a mate saying her date went well last night. Drinks, giggles and a sneaky kiss under the stars.

Going to New Brighton Beach for a lovely sunny walk and spying the snow topped mountains behind us.
The flight was, as usual, a bit scary fire my but we saw some absolutely amazing views on the way, the huge range of snowy mountain tops, the sounds, the Strait, the sunset and the clouds.
The card from our friend back home filled with the tiniest writing possible.
