Walking to work through drifting snowflakes

Remembering I had a watermelon to eat.

Being out in the park with the warmth of the sun on me and hearing the birds.

The snow melting and falling off the trees.

Arthur telling me off for not watering my tomato plants. Again!

Jonny staying over. Nose strips, design shows and lots of lols.

Our work Christmas lunch. Fire on the TV, songs on the old CD player and cheese twists.

Tidying the cleaning cupboard. I’ve chucked away so much stuff!

Dinner at Itto with Jen and Fiona. Plus churros and a snowball fight.

Still so much snow!

Homebase. I love all the smells and things.

Shopping! I so rarely do it. It was so fun to buy lots of face things and do pretty much all my Christmas shopping in one go.

Snow! So much snow! Kids of sledges in the park. The squirrels jumping across branches and shaking down snow flurries. Grown men throwing snowballs.

Smiling at strangers because it’s snowing and they smile back.

An M&S pizza.

A walk in bluebell wood. Sans bluebells, obvs. It was frosty and crunchy and beautiful.

Snow! It still makes me so excited to see the first snow.

Dancing and singing to Christmas songs.

Snow!

Ducks!

Ciaran’s amazing investing presentation. He’s such a lovely guy!

Snow and sunshine at Barnsbury Wood.

Knowing what I was talking about in the website meeting.

The pistachio chocolates I bought. They are so delicious.

A random flurry of snow this morning. Then blue skies and blossom.

Flirting on OkCupid. And then cancelling the date because I knew it wasn’t the right scenario for me. #learning

Watching the flower competition with Jonny. I forgot how nice it was to make some comments with someone.

Waking up to a snow day. Still exciting at 33.

NEW MATTRESS! Managing to get it to the stairs on my own was a huge achievement and I can’t wait to go to bed.

Another delicious mango.

Going for a walk with Nina and talking about sex education.

Task Master.

The sun and the almost melted snow.

SNOW DAY! It started when I was on a zoom call with the family and then can’t down so hard.

HUGE snowman in the park.

Got my first OddBox.

The happy dog barking as I ran to work. Just before it started snowing!

All the lovely comments from people on my Sex Education series. It really feels like I’m making a difference!

Feeling impressive and respected at the canal meeting. Plus it was nice to be in the sun even though it was very chilly.

My cousin’s hilarious dating chat.

Doing yoga, watching the snow fall outside.

Being outside and walking lots today.

Snowy walking today. It got a bit too snowy at some points but it was lovely.

I did it! I won us £2,000 funding for BOW! I can’t believe it! So pleased!

Seeing Jonny this evening. It’s been ages and it was so nice to see him.

Walking to work through the snow. Smiling and being happy after a cuddly night. And happy to be walking to work again.

I’ve been paid! Finally finally finally.

Itsu for lunch. Thanks salary. And another lovely walk. Thanks fixed foot.

A final walk through the gentle snowfall and the big piles of snow. Bye Oslo, you’ve been fabulous.

Getting my pitch written at the airport. I feel a lot happier now that I’ve done that.

Getting home and Stuart coming over for food and cuddles. It was lovely to sleep next to him. For a change!

Out and about, discovering Oslo. Such a beautiful and quiet city. And the sky was so blue.

Playing in the snow on a botty whizzer.

An emotional gig in a church. A bar with loads of plants. General holiday lols.

Delicious mini truffle things at the walking conference. I had a lot.

OSLO!

Snow snow snow snow.

Snow day!!

Walking around the park, smiling at strangers, checking out snowmen and taking rare selfies. Snow makes everyone happier.

Chatting to Stuart on the phone. That’s a nice new occurrence.

A massage, facial and head massage. Whilst the snow storm raged outside.

Discovering I had a massage at the same time as mum. Random.

Hearing a hat and headphones.

Chatting skiing and cheese with Andrew.
Swimming after work. I was really looking forward to it.
Hannah’s poo stories.

The small train up the mountain to the glacier, with views all down the valley.
Sledging. On the botty whizzer. In thigh deep snow.
The postcards we smeared with cake. And the cake.

I skied! I’ve never skied before and it was so much fun!
The well earned and totally delicious hot chocolate with biscuits on afterwards.
….then the raclette for dinner. CHEEEEEEESE!

image

The beautiful cloud formations on the plane.
Discovering the British passport has a UNICORN on it.
SNOW! Chamonix. FRANCE! Drinking hot wine outside with the stunning mountains in the background. The horse wearing a hat! The drummers. Touching a ski. Finding the crisps.
The ice hockey match. The shouting in French, the men, the crêpe, the fondue, the winning.

That’s loads more than three but it’s been such a fun day.

Harry Potter Christmas press night. Mini mince pies, free alcohol, a triple decker bus and riding on a broomstick.
Having a photo taken with a McBusted just to make Hannah jealous.
The fake snow. Oh, the fake snow.

Rob Roy Glacier. Simply amazing. Well worth the walk up.
Seeing two big chunks of ice/snow fall off the glacier and tumble down the mountain, shattering into pieces.
The big huddle of sheep, staring at us.

A cute little present tucked into my bag from my lovely colleague including this poem.
Waking to work in the early morning and smelling that cold, snow smell that reminded me of home. My family home. And my childhood.
Emailing my friend about vaginas.

Going to New Brighton Beach for a lovely sunny walk and spying the snow topped mountains behind us.
The flight was, as usual, a bit scary fire my but we saw some absolutely amazing views on the way, the huge range of snowy mountain tops, the sounds, the Strait, the sunset and the clouds.
The card from our friend back home filled with the tiniest writing possible.

Watching the snow build up outside the window

Walking hand in hand through the snowy streets

Making it crunch underfoot, a noise that never gets old.
