Giving out ice pops in the office.

An evening at home. Picking up parcels. Food shopping. Chatting to Scarlett and Matt in the garden for a few hours.

Wearing Becky’s dress with the slit. I always feel good in this dress.

Beers in the park after work with Holly

A Ben and Jerry’s ice cream sandwich

Community. My community.

Dozing in the sun, in my parents garden.

A walk along the seafront in the afternoon. With obligatory ice cream break.

Watching the bat flit about in the darkness.

Doing weights at the gym. Turns out all the intimidating men don’t go to the gym on a Saturday lunchtime. Also sweated out all the beer from last night.

Enjoying the sun. In the garden. In the park. In the sky.

This cool face on the toilet door.

Lying in the sun in the park, reading my book and getting a tan.

Basement Tapes. Will came. It was fun to see him. And to dance.

Sam. Being wonderful and brotherly and supportive. Hugs and advice.

Being out in the garden. Putting my sunflowers outside and planting up some runner beans. Hanging my washing on the line.

The drumming at the park.

That smell of summer. Having the windows wide open. Feeling the warmth of the sun. Lying in the park reading my book. It was a good day. It was a calm and peaceful day.

Making the office go to the park at lunch time to enjoy the sun. And then going down the curly yellow slide.

Making a wicked awesome 3D bat card for my colleagues birthday. Complete with her marrying a kayak on the front. It makes sense in context.

Jonny’s elephant Nelly. Big and gentle, not grey and wrinkly.

Did a good interview. Pretty proud of myself.

A day working in the garden.

A picnic with Holly in the evening sun.

A Mr Freeze to cool down. Retro.

The grandma and grandson holding hands and walking in the park.

Beers in the garden (and on the stairs) with housemates, talking Bumble, first dates and milking cows.

An evening in the park and along the canal with Jonny. And ice cream.

AAAALL the babes in Victoria Park

Mint Magnum

Alec and Ciaran’s Good Eggs argument

The yoga instructors voice. Off-putting but also funny. Reeee. Laxed.

More beers in the sun

Strangely, a night with Zoe that made me feel better. Fuck all that shit.

Walking through central London alone on a hot night. Being offered £5 to slap someone. I love London. Its so beautiful.

Oh and then coming home to another hilarious Good Eggs conversation involving drunk me and new fonts.

(And actually, considering that this morning I was sad and crying and now I’ve got 4 good things, this has been a fantastic turnaround of a day)

Such a ridiculously beautiful day. So sunny.

Making that paper. Yes to cleaning.

Liv said nice things about my writing.

Peanut butter Magnum. Thanks for the idea mum
The beautiful sarong my mum sent me for my holiday next week.
The smell of summer

The thunder and lightning storm in the afternoon with rain that made everything smell like hot, wet summers.
The smell of towels that have dried in the sun.
Fish fingers.

The ridiculously delicious souvlaki
Sitting in the sun at West Norwood Feast with Rosie and Jim
Feeling inspired by pretty crafts

A successful and delicious BBQ in our newly gardened garden. Complete with sun, friends and all the avocado and halloumi you could want.
The gorgeous walk through Springfield Park and along the canal
Cheering Jonny on at the Hackney Half. YASS BITCH!

Accidentally dribbling apple spit down myself
Hacking away a big area of bush in the garden. And then burning the wood.
The heat, the sun, the summer air blowing through the house.

Lying in the park in the sun. Maybe summer isn’t completely over.
The chocolate mousse at lunch time. Best mousse I’ve ever eaten.
Being carried down the stairs upside down and back to front.

Miss Fanny and Mrs Brown.
A bit of a suntan.
A foot massage.

Making a nice breakfast for him. It’s nice to be nice.
Wearing summery clothes and feeling summery. It feels so much more relaxing.
A night of feminist chat. Obvs.

Lying in the sun
Reading a whole book
Hash browns and avocado

It felt warm and smelt like summer
Walking through a new part of the city
I got an interview

My housemate bought me Nutella. I LOVE Nutella.
Showing Miranda our van. It’s nice to see it through someone else’s eyes.
The smell of sun tan lotion, the heat, the sandals. Summer.

This beautiful, if slightly battered, flower I found on the pavement.
Fresh mint in my water. Feels like holidays and summer and happiness.
Time alone watching RuPaul and relaxing.

Napping in the sun on our bed.
Fresh orange juice.
It was so warm today that I had to take off two layers, then change into looser clothes and then open three windows. It felt like summer. It was lovely.

Waking up to this lovely message from my boyfriend

Reading the sweet blog post my boss wrote about me and how sad she is that I’m leaving. It’s always nice to be appreciated.

The smell of light rain on warm pavements. The true smell of British summer.

My wonderful parents bought me a Kindle. And it arrived today!

The warm weather has made seemingly made a load of students appear, laughing and having fun

I got off the tube a stop early and walked back in the warm evening air thinking about how different everything feels when it’s hotter. London suddenly feels like a European city rather than a British city. If that makes any sense
