The most perfect day on the canal on their new boat.

All the wildlife. The kingfisher, the dragonflies, the greedy swans.

Dipping my toes in the water, sitting in the sun at the front of the boat.

A day in the sun.

My brown tummy

Seeing shooting stars with Sarah

Lying in the sun with my boobs out.

Not getting burnt.

Getting completely lost in my book.

Picking up Hannah – no more solo. And someone to tell my hilarious jokes and comments to.

Our beautiful finca for the week. It’s so gorgeous!

Going for a swim and then eating bread and cheese on the sunbeds. Bliss.

Dozing in the sun, in my parents garden.

A walk along the seafront in the afternoon. With obligatory ice cream break.

Watching the bat flit about in the darkness.

The chocolatine aux almondes. Fuck me. That thing was delicious.

Lying in the sun next to the pond for hours and wandering around the Japanese garden.

Walking home from dinner and discovering a little group of people dancing and playing live French music. I stopped and watched for a while, smiling like I haven’t smiled for days. My highlight of the holiday. The perfect last evening in France.

The ridiculously delicious souvlaki
Sitting in the sun at West Norwood Feast with Rosie and Jim
Feeling inspired by pretty crafts

And a babe of a beer with the close knits when Han arrived.

Making the house look pretty with flatmates. Organised the DVDs, did more gardening (well, hacking) and discovered an insane amount of old remotes.
Sitting in the sun, in our new chair, drinking coke from a glass bottle. It’s just like being on holiday.
A perfectly lined-up stripy top and a new way of hemming necklines.

When the bus driver waited for the man running along the street.
Fabric shopping.
Sitting on the newly cleaned balcony, eating raspberries and reading in the sun.

The cows, and adorable calf, next to the boat this morning.
Sunbathing on the hot (canal boat) roof.
Feeding the duck. From the canal boat.

The canal boat holiday has now ended. Normal service shall resume tomorrow.

Lying in the sun
Reading a whole book
Hash browns and avocado

Lying on the sand with my legs in the sun at Cathedral Cove.
Going through the carwash.
The smell of wood burning at the campsite.

Sunbathing and playing in the pool.
I read a whole book today.
The pool sign that requires you to ‘please have a shower before entering the poo’.

Lying in the sun on the edge of lake Wanaka, relaxing after the days of walks.
Swimming in lake Wanaka.
The lovely mocha. Great coffee, lots of chocolate.

Seeing the dolphins swim right up to us at Monkey Mia. The newborn was the best. So playful and energetic.
Spending the whole day relaxing in the sun and reading.
Seeing a turtle poke his head up a few metres from us in the sea.

Lying on the most beautiful beach with only one other family on it.
When he squirted sun tan lotion all down my shorts and on the floor.
Mr Bean on the ferry.

Lying on my balcony in the sun and feeling properly hot and sweaty

A day where I got to do lots of things I’ve been trying to do but never found the time (or motivation). Basically I worked from home today and it meant I didn’t exactly spend all my time doing what I was supposed to do.

Trying on my travelling clothes. And getting excited.
